2023 FESTIVAL RESULTS

2023 Music Festival Breezes in with £7k

The 6th annual Summer Music Festival at The Half Moon was another great success, with 18 separate bands delighting audiences over 5 days – during which £7,000 was raised for The Rosemary Foundation.

Despite some atrocious weather, particularly on Friday night, every band played their full set and delighted audiences who showed the true festival spirit by turning up, equipped for whatever the weather might throw at them.

The festival presented the now traditional wide range of musical entertainment from rock bands, a reggae band, soloists, acoustic duets and wonderful choirs. Performers were a mix of local favourites and others, travelling from further afar, including London and Southampton.

We were delighted by the incredible generosity of the performers and volunteers, who enable the festival to go ahead and raise such a good sum of money, whilst keeping ticket prices low to make it accessible to everyone.

Here are some pictures of the festival together with the full line up and we look forward to making announcements about plans for the 2024 Festival in the coming months.

2022 FESTIVAL RESULTS

£10,000 raised at Summer Entertainment Festival.

Our 2022 Summer Entertainment Festival hosted at The Half Moon in Sheet completed a full month of entertainment, with a closing show by local Indie covers band Super 8 in a packed garden on a hot Sunday evening.

This year’s festival was the biggest and best yet, with an audience measured in thousands across the month and performances made up from 18 different local bands and 5 touring theatre productions, all performing outdoors at The Half Moon throughout July including a 3 day music festival weekend.

With every event priced to be financially accessible to all, the festival raised £10,000 which this year went directly to Home-Start Butser making an immediate impact on local families.

Performers gave their time for free, and The Half Moon provided a wonderful outdoor festival stage and technical support which enabled all ticket money to go to the charity.

Festival organisers Robert Ingram and Chris Pellett were delighted by the quality of performances and the size of audiences. They were especially pleased with the wonderful weather throughout, following rain and storm challenges in each of the previous five years. Robert said, ‘we are so grateful to all the performers and event volunteers who made this possible and delivered such enjoyment so many people whilst raising valuable fans for Home-Start Butser’.

Summer Programme raises £10,000 for Home-Start

Life in Petersfield

The fourth annual Home-Start music festival at The Half Moon Pub in Sheet went up several gears in 2021 to become a 3-week festival of drama and music enjoyed by over 1,300 people and raising £10,000 for this essential local charity which provides crucial support  to local families with children under age 5.

Drama was in the form of Emma, by Jane Austen performed over 3 nights by the excellent Havant based CCADS theatre Group.  After a washed out first night (when those who turned up were treated to a short indoor preview and free tickets for other nights) the following two nights played to packed houses in a beautiful outdoor auditorium created within The Half Moon Garden.  Music dates featured Queen tribute band ‘Its a kinda Tragic’, popular local band Black Cherry Jam and a wonderful Sunday afternoon with Bluestone Bills. This all then culminated in the 3-day festival weekend from 23rd to 25th July when 13 bands performed across a broad range of genres, including reggae, Parisian jazz, jazz funk, musical theatre, boy band, and the best rock and dance bands you could hope for. Performers, technical crew and all stewards volunteered their services to ensure a thoroughly professional event safely enjoyed by the guests.
